Where is your clinic?
I work in both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. I have a clinic in Ely and the following places are within easy access:- Kings Lynn, March, Chatteris, Littleport, Mildenhall, Thetford, Soham, Newmarket, Cambridge, Milton, Histon, Huntingdon, Downham Market, Southery I also work in Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds and again the following places are close Ipswich, Brandon, Stowmarket, Diss, Dereham and other outlying villages If you don’t have a car there is a good train service from Cambridge to Ely and Kings Lynn and my clinic is a short walk from the station. I see people at Woolpit Complementary in Woolpit, which is about 10 minutes from Bury St Edmunds. Leave the A14 at Junction 47 and follow the road into Woolpit. Turn left down Old Stowmarket Road then left again about 1/2 mile further down this road into Brickfields Business Park. Woolpit Complementary is in Unit 11.
Do other people feel the same way as I do?
You’re not alone, clients will often say to me that they felt really uncomfortable about making the decision to contact me but were really pleased when they had. They actually felt that they were doing something really constructive for themselves.
How do I choose the right therapy for me?
What I always recommend is that you come to meet me for a free, no obligation initial consultation. In that way you can tell me about the things that are troubling you and I will be able to explain about the therapies I offer. You will also find helpful information about all the therapies on my website. Together we will decide on the right way forward to you.
How long does the initial consultation take?
The Initial Consultation usually takes between 30-45 minutes. It really does help if you have read the relevant parts of website. It means that we can really focus on making the right decisions for you.
How many sessions will I need?
The Thrive Programme usually takes 7 sessions, although most clients start to feel brighter and more in control after just one or two sessions. CPI (Cognitive Processing and Integration) can be effective after just one session but may take 6 – 12 depending on the nature of the client's issues. Applied Positive Hypnotherapy can take 1 – 3 sessions.
Is Hypnosis anything like you see on the TV programmes?
Those people who are chosen by the hypnotist are hand picked and are generally those people who like to be the centre of attention. It's important to remember that even when you are relaxed you cannot and will not be made to do anything or say anything that you do not want to. The client is in complete control.
What does Hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is a wonderfully relaxing state and is similar to a very pleasant daydream. You are aware of your surroundings and everything that goes on in the session and it’s called alert wakefullness.
Can everyone be hypnotised and will I come out afterwards?
Anyone who wants to can experience hypnosis and you can come out of hypnosis at any time. It does require an ability to concentrate though so those with a learning disability would not be suitable, neither would those people who are drunk or high on drugs.
What are the session costs?
This depends on the therapy or programme chosen and ranges from £85 - £100 per session.
What is Applied Positive Hypnotherapy?
"Applied Positive Hypnotherapy (APH) is a new, innovative, evidence-based approach to hypnotherapy combining insights from clinical Hypnosis and positive psychology and is a programme that is compatible with the principles of empowerment that the Thrive Programme promotes.
What is Positive Psychology
"Positive psychology focuses not so much on what ails people but what enables people to live happy, successful, health lives - it teaches people how to Thrive.
I look forward to hearing from you.
